Organic Figs 250g

Our organic figs are grown by Josep Maria Agusti, ripening in the Spanish sun near Barcelona. He grows a number of different varieties; these classic black Cuello de Dama Negra are a fragrant, jammy delicacy.

Perfectly ripe figs are squishy, sticky and very sweet. Many supermarket figs are picked when under-ripe for ease of transportation, leaving them firm and less flavoursome. Josep picks his figs as close to full ripeness as possible; the outstanding taste is worth the extra effort. They’re delivered soft and ready to eat, so tuck in right away.

If eating raw, take them out of the fridge about 30 mins beforehand. They reveal their flavour and perfume a lot better at room temperature.
